Most don't people think of training as fun; it's just something you
have to do before you get to the fun stuff. I teach classes that
are FUN and prepare you to be a safe and knowledgeable diver. My
training techniques make learning all skills neutrally bouyant easier
and more fun than doing skills kneeling on the bottom. You will impress
experienced divers with your skills but only you will know the
secret--it's super easy! Other instructors will rush you through
training and never take the time (about 15-20 minutes) to get your
bouyancy under control then sell you another class to correct your
buorancy problems. I also offer the peak performance buoyancy course
but you will only need it if you took your open water training with
another instructor.

Everyone is different so I offer training from three of the
world's top
scuba training agencies.
PADI
is the worlds largest scuba certification agency and has training
programs and materials are some of the best in the industry. They offer
books and e-learning.
All
certifications earn a plastic certification card. An electronic card
can be purchased for an additional fee.
NASE is a smaller agency
that is still recognized worldwide that has its roots in commercial,
cave, and technical diving. NASE offers only eLearning and
all
certifications earn an electronic card that is delivered instantly on a
free smart phone app. A
plastic certification card is available for a small additional fee.
PSS is based in Italy and the
third largest training agency in all of Europe, where they have been
active for over 25 years. The PSS founders also founded the WRSTC,
which ensures member SCUBA training agencies adhere to ISO standards
for global recognition of SCUBA certification and they are also members
of the ISO board, that sets worldwide SCUBA training standards. They
have recently started operations in the United States and are growing
very rapidly. PSS was the first agency in the world to offer online
eLearning and their electronic learning management system is second to
none. I added PSS to my training options because of the ability to
instantly allow anyone to start training at any time simply by clicking
a link. All training through PSS is recorded in your account
and
automatically applies credit for completed accomplishments to be
applied to higher certification levels. All courses are eLearning and
include a PDF manual and electronic certification card that is
delivered instantly on a
free smart phone app. A
plastic certification card is available for a small additional fee.
Printed books (that are exactly the same as the PDF you receive) are
available for purchase.
The content of courses from all agencies is very similar with only
minor differences. NASE minimum certification standards exceed what is
required for PADI/PSS certification in terms of level of skill
performance
and total open water time. You can easily switch between agencies.
When choosing a SCUBA instructor, it is incredibly important to choose
one with not only a great variety of experience but one who gained that

Certified
SCUBA is a fun activity for the entire family and is actually much more
affordable than most people believe. Invest in a hobby that promotes
fitness and opens your life to a whole new world. If you can afford the
latest smart phone you can afford SCUBA.
Exercise your mind and body, enjoy a fun outdoor activity with a
surprisingly large group of local divers in a family friendly
atmosphere or chose to participate with just friends and family. Either
way, you won't have trouble finding someone to dive with locally.
Once you are certified and have your basic equipment, local
diving can be one of the least expensive activities you can enjoy in
central PA. Your certification is valid and recognized worldwide for
life. Dive local or explore tropical waters on vacation. Of course, I
suggest you do both.

Water Diver

The
Divemaster rating is the first level of PADI Professional membership.
Learn to lead groups of divers and assist instructors with classes. In
addition to the full Divemaster course, I also welcome previously
certified Divemasters to renew your membership. If you have not been an
active Divemaster for several years, PADI will require you to
do additional training. This can be accomplished in a single weekend if
you have kept up with your skills & knowledge. Divemasters who
complete training or recertification with me are called first to assist
with my classes. $750
